The new Mayday Parade EP is here

16 Oct, 2020

Like a ray of sunshine on a stormy day, Mayday Parade are here to offer some relief from 2020 with their new EP, Out Of Here. As always, the Florida band sound bright and upbeat and across these three new tracks, they glow with optimism as they keep exploring the power of self-love. It might be short, but it’s effective, lifting your spirits in a ways that Mayday Parade have perfected by now.

“’Lighten Up Kid’ is about trying to find yourself and the strength to keep fighting for what you believe in,” says drummer Jake Bundrick. “It’s about being or feeling cut down and hung out to dry but standing up for yourself in the end.”

Every minute of this EP is enjoyable, but we especially liked the rising crash of cymbals Bundrick provides on the drums. The hook is killer and of course (and as always) Derek Sanders‘ vocals are on point, which makes this sing-along our standout track.
