Seek Harbour unveil their latest single

23 Jul, 2021

Kent melodic hardcore band, Seek Harbour, have today release their latest single, ‘alone>lonely’. We caught up with the band to chat about the new track.

This is your fourth single, but you’ve already amassed an impressive following. What is it that you think resonates with listeners?

I always thought the impact of us all collectively knowing lots of people in our hometown helped by the way we didn’t tell anyone the band was a thing and released Ghost & Shadow along with artwork, band photos, Facebook page etc all at once.

People have stuck with us since then and we are so happy they have. From my perspective it has to be the ingenious writing skills of our CeeJay who continues to impress us with his work behind the scenes.

Simon inputs drum ideas, Loz inputs lyrical ideas and different pitched well-controlled screams, and I do the odd run of my choosing, but the big atmospheric instrumentation like the synths and others all come from CeeJay- this is what puts us nicely under melodic-hardcore.

People like a melody, and the instrumentation provides so much that we have a great dynamic within the band to grasp the best of every side of of our genre.

The EP is pencilled in for later this year, can you give us any more details?

I’m not sure what the band would allow me to say, but it is definitely for this year, 4 tracks, and we’ve been busy at work with them. 😉 you can possibly expect one of the tracks in about 2 months.

Once it’s safe to do so, we’re sure you’ll be getting out there to play your first shows. How excited for that?

Oh we are looking forward to it! I’m pretty sure Loz is hyped the most as it’s his passion to play live- the energy his parts give off turns him into our own personal hype-man. We can’t wait either! I personally haven’t been on a stage in years now, we are just slightly rusty due to lockdown too but we are getting there! It’ll just be great to meet people and see how they take our songs first hearing us live, I wonder if we’ll gather a few more followers.
