Palm Reader Announce New Album and drop first single ‘Hold/Release’

17 Aug, 2020

UK metallers Palm Reader have premiered a new single, ‘Hold/Release’. Taken from their forthcoming album Sleepless which is set for an October 30th release through Holy Roar Records.

Fans of Palm Reader will notice a shift in the bands sound from earlier material. ‘Hold/Release’ is equally brooding as it is melodic, resembling the likes of Alexisonfire.

Vocalist Josh Mckeown on the track:

‘Hold / Release’ explores the notion of toxic masculinity, how men are sometimes discouraged from sharing their problems in an attempt to live up to a false idea of what they should be. ‘That attitude can tear people apart’, ‘I’ve seen it happen to people. I’ve been scared of it happening to myself. It’s a subject that I’ve particularly gravitated towards of late.’
