Havelocke sign to Silent Cult and release new single

19 Jan, 2021

Having recently signed to Silent Cult (previously home to Palm Reader), Havelocke have come out swinging with brand-new single ‘Vampire Eyes’. What sounds like a COVID song – cue cabin-feverish lyrics like “Can you remember what the world looks like? ‘Cos I can’t, and I don’t want to” – was actually written before according to vocalist Owen Cousins.

“I actually wrote this song before anyone had even heard of Covid-19; I really wasn’t ready for it to become quite so relevant. ‘Vampire Eyes’ is about isolating yourself from the real world and getting so used to being inside your home, that when you eventually step outside, it’s a real shock to the system, whether that is for better or worse”.

With the best mix of punk, theatrics and nostalgic post-hardcore, we’re excited to see what’s next from this band. Check out the video for ‘Vampire Eyes’ while you wait:
